One dimensional reduced model for ITER relevant energetic particle transport

We set up a mapping procedure able to translate the evolution of radial profile fast ions, interacting with Toroidal Alfv\'en Eigenmodes, into dynamics an equivalent one dimensional bump-on-tail system. apply this technique reproduce ITER relevant simulations, which clearly outlined deviations from diffusive quasi-linear (QL) model. Our analysis demonstrates capability one-dimensional beam-plasma predict features non-linear hybrid LIGKA/HAGIS simulations. In particular, we identify how deviation QL evolutive profiles is due presence avalanche processes. A detailed regarding reduced dimensionality also addressed, by means phase-space slicing based on constants motion. conclusions, outline main criticalities and outcomes procedure, must be satisfactorily addressed make quantitative prediction observed outgoing fluxes in Tokamak device.
